The design process is a series of problem-solving activities. Discovering what will and will not work, pushing the boundaries and having a good gut feeling as to what can be made to work within the brief. Whatever the situation, the process is usually similar, but the challenges are different. However complicated the challenge, my philosophy is to keep things as simple as possible and make things happen!
All design and project management work considered. My main experience from 1996 - 2005 was retail merchandising display equipment and packaging for global markets. Project management, design & development at any stage from concept, sketching, 2D & 3D modelling, prototyping and testing, through to tooling, production and assembly. I have a strong materials processing and polymer technology background and have experience of metals, plastics, wood, composites, etc. Also several residential and marine renovation and upgrade projects have been undertaken. My skills are transferrable and flexible to meet most design situations.
Currently working on several small projects, including a $50,000 custom marine upgrade, and a residential building improvement project. Available for further projects or contract work from late 2009 and early 2010.
